For those that don't know, Mybb.com has never been owned by the creators of the Mybb forum script. The person that owned the domain was a 'domain squatter' - someone who owns a domain but doesn't develop a website.

To everyone's surprise, the Mybb group finally acquired the domain.A while back, there was a donation drive to get $3,000 dollars to buy the domain from the owner. Recently, the Mybb group finally reached their goal. Over 100 people donated according to Mybb.

It's nice to see the community giving back to the creators. Because of the new domain purchase, hopefully more people will find Mybb and use the software. After all, the more people that use it, the better the software will be.
